Accessibility at Hotel Lorensberg

Hotel Lorensberg is housed in a charming historic building dating back to 1907. We take great care when renovating to preserve the character and unique atmosphere of the building. Because of its historic nature, there are some thresholds and changes in floor level throughout the hotel, which may affect guests with accessibility requirements.

While the hotel is not fully accessible according to modern accessibility standards, we will always do our best to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The main entrance has a staircase, but the hotel can also be accessed via a side entrance. Please note that the path leading to the side entrance includes a short uphill slope.

The hotel has one elevator that accommodates a standard-sized wheelchair. It also features voice announcements to help guests with visual impairments find the correct floor. Our second elevator is an older, smaller model that can accommodate up to two people with light luggage, but unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Please note that many of our room categories do not offer enough space for wheelchair users. Only a limited number of our larger rooms have bathrooms that are spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

If you require additional assistance, we offer accessibility aids such as a raised toilet seat and a shower stool. These are available for several of our bathrooms and can be reserved upon request and free of charge by contacting our front desk before your arrival.
